Why is this a female only salon?
We're intentionally a female only salon to provide a private, culturally respectful environment where they can fully relax and receive care without compromise. We proudly welcome those experiencing hair loss and thinning and guests who wear hijabs or tichels, offering a space where they can comfortably remove their coverings and truly let their hair down. This allows us to honor personal boundaries, modesty, and the level of privacy our guests require.
Do you take walk ins?
No. We are a private appointment only salon. This ensures that every guest receives the full Freshy Rooted experience which is a relaxed, personalized service done in a timely manor.
How long will I be in the salon?
Service times may be longer due to length, density, texture or tangling (please come detangled). Extra charges will incur.
Is there anything I need to do to my hair before the appointment?
Make sure your hair is fully detangled, that's it!
May I bring a friends or family to my appointment?
Due to space, our comfort & safety, no children nor extra guests are allowed unless they're receiving services. If they come they may be asked to leave.
What should I wear?
We'd love you to come as you are but hoodies and turtle necks can be difficult to work around and light colored shirts can be at risk to staining when getting chemical services and may get in the way.
Do you do children's hair? If so, is there children's pricing?
Yes, I offer services for young ladies 10+. There isn't children's pricing.
Will you do color on children's hair?
Chemical services will not be performed on children under 12 yeas old.
May I return hair products or hair extensions?
For sanitary purposes there are no exchanges or returns on take home products and hair extensions.
Do I have to keep up with my rewards points?
No, all rewards will be track by the salon and are non transferrable. You'll receive notice of when you may redeem points by email or in person . So add us to your email contacts. To redeem just mention it during checkout.
Are they any combos or service packages?
Service prices are a la carte unless otherwise stated in the description and are subject to change without prior notice.
Why don't you offer in salon consultations?
There really is no real way to assess your hairs condition until its been detoxed and treated. Only then can the hairs true character be seen. Most people come to the salon for the first time with product buildup (even though they thought they were doing what was best). Because of that, often times the hair is going to feel and behave a different way (worse) than it naturally would. It is simple hair science sense. Many issues can be resolved by starting with a detox, so that's what I like to do. This way I'm able to give you a more accurate plan of action for your hair care, hair color, extension method and/or style option.
I'm new to the salon , how do I book for a color appointment?
I don't do color (or extensions) on the first (and sometimes the second) appointment for new guests. I like to ensure the hair can withstand the process and maintain or build the hair's integrity.
Does a shampoo come with the service?
You'll enjoy a soothing shampoo and steam treatment with every style service.
Does a style come with the a color service?
Color services must be booked with a style or cut service to ensure finished results.
Do you charge more for tight curly hair?
Our pricing is never determined by hair pattern or texture. Adjustments may be made for extra density or additional color usage to account for the time and extra product required to deliver consistent high quality results.
