We are meeting at last!
My name is JC Dobson, your color & curly hair curator and owner of Freshly Rooted Color & Blowout Salon. I am originally from Camp LeJeune, NC where I started my life as a Marine Corps child. As most military children I've bounced all around spending most of my time in the South and East coast and finished up in Ohio, I know...bizarre. From there I met my lifelong friends, went to college to major in Business/Advertising, and married my high school love - aka "The Luckiest Man Alive". He joined the Army and so the military kid became the military wife. Our latest move was in 2010 when we came here from Ft. Wainwright ,AK .Yes we traded the heavy snow and freezing temperatures for sometimey weather and tornadoes; we're enjoying our time!
I'm a mother of two college kids who think I'm coolest ever...well that's what I tell myself. And it must be said, but my family has dubbed me the greatest cook of ALL time....just something to remember. In my spare time I love cooking, going to our son's football games and upcycling with our daughter and going on a "Pin-a-thon" for all the things in life.
Outside of my so called crazy life, I enjoy helping women feel good in the skin their in; matching the outer beauty with the inner beauty. Getting to do what I love as a career PLUS flexibility for my family is really the spice of life. I've been told I have a gift for color and understanding how that translates to curly hair. No matter what the cut, style or color I check for one thing. Does it make good "hair science sense"?
I believe healthy haircare is the cornerstone for all great hair color, cuts & styles. I've been licensed in several states for over 20 years. My specialties are custom dimensional color, curly cuts, and blowouts for the discerning curly woman. As an educator independantly and for Innersense Organic Beauty as an Artistic Director, trained with Cut It Kinky, DevaCurl, Torregano, I'm your go to for all of your curly cut needs.
I use professional haircare products by Innersense, AG, Trepadora, Redken, K18 & Olaplex to help maintain integrity, manageability and achieve your desired look. A thorough consultation is included with each appointment so that we will have an understanding of what your hair needs. Guest service training and technical education helps me provide great quality experiences.
I stand behind my work 100% and am confident that I can achieve the look you desire. If you aren't happy with my work, I'll touch it up for FREE*.
